MEPCO Operations (According to MEPCO News)

MEPCO News- In a single day, the Multan Electric Power Company (MEPCO) launched separate operations throughout South Punjab and apprehended 107 individuals for power pilfering, according to an official from the MEPCO news company.

These operations were carried out in several cities including Multan, Vehari, Sahiwal, Rahimyar Khan, Muzaffargarh, Bahawalnagar, Khanewal, and DG Khan. The teams working with task forces detected the theft of 160,000 units of electricity during these operations. A fine of over Rs 3.3 million was imposed on the offenders and cases were registered against seven individuals who were found involved in various forms of electricity theft such as tampering with meters, direct supply, installing loops in meters, slowing down meters, meter dead stop, and meter screen wash.
