Understanding of IESCO Bill 2023
People are always worried about how to read an IESCO bill. Knowledge regarding bills is very necessary. So, you have to understand all the parameters of the bill. Here is the information below regarding the bill:
Connection Date and Name
You registered in IESCO or any other area, and your name and date of connection were recorded in the IESCO database. If you will need to change the name of the connection, you will contact your nearest office of IESCO and provide an application for changing the connection name.
So, on every IESCO electricity bill, there is a connection date when the user registered their connection. The name of the consumer is given, based on the name under which you have registered your connection. Later, you can also change the name of the consumer when submitting an application of IESCO bill to the concerned office of IESCO.
The date of the current month is given on the top of the bill. And on the bottom of the bill, the due date and the last date are also mentioned, and you can check them on the IESCO online service.
Bill Charges
There are two types of charges on every IESCO bill: one is a Company charge (like IESCO charges), and the other is a Government charge. You can also check bill charges of FESCO bill and MEPCO bill.
IESCO Charges (آئیسکو کے واجبات)
- Units Consumed and Cost (صرف شدہ یونٹ اور قیمت)
The total number of units consumed in a month is mentioned in the company’s charges IESCO bill, and its cost is also mentioned in the IESCO bill online. The IESCO unit price is different for different tariffs. All the tariffs of IESCO are explained in website.

- Fuel Price Adjustment (فیول پرائس ایڈجسٹمنٹ)
Fuel Price Adjustment is abbreviated as FPA. As the fuel price fluctuated, the FPA also changed accordingly in IESCO. Because many electrical companies get their power from crude oil, our FPA is entirely dependent on fuel prices.
- FC Surcharge (ایف سی سر چارج)
The federal government charges this Financing Cost Surcharge as 43 paisa per unit on every IESCO bill.
- TR Surcharges (ٹی آر سر چارج)
Tarrif Rastionalization Surcharge is assessed at an average cost of 1.02 per unit. NEPRA and the government have committed to the subsidy. If the difference in tariffs between these two is positive, the government pays the subsidy; if the difference is negative, the distribution company pays the government. The TR surcharge for IESCO is displayed on the bill.
Government Charges(گورنمنٹ کے محصولات)
- Electricity Duty (محصول بجلی)
Electricity duty is charged @1.5% on the units consumed on the Wapda bill IESCO.
- GST (جنرل سیلز ٹیکس)
On every bill 17% GST is applied to the IESCO consumer bill.
- TV FEE (ٹیلی ویژن فیس)
35 rupees are charged as a PTV fee on every IESCO bill. On commercial TV, the TV fee is 60 rupees.
- NJ Surcharge (نیلم جہلم سر چارج)
Wapda charges in IESCO bill 0.10/UNIT for the development of the Nelum Jehlum Project.
